Sam Scharinger began working for New Life in September 2016 as the associate pastor. He spent the last five years as a high school counselor at Plymouth High School. Sam is the proud husband to his beautiful wife, Kate.  They have three adorable children, Teagan, Quinn and Benaiah. Through his position at New Life, Sam serves through discipleship of families and individuals and leads the youth programs, KidQuest and C.R.E.W. Sam and Kate love to spend time hiking, camping, hunting and especially fishing – basically anything outdoors. Both are super competitive and enjoy challenging each other in many sports, including nerf gun wars.  Kate runs her own business as a photographer and is passionate about taking photos of both landscapes and people. She also has a knack for baking a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies. Sam is excited to see New Life grow into the fullness that God has for individuals and the church as a whole.

Steph Harms joined the New Life staff the summer of 2022 as Family Director. Steph was a teacher for the last 15 years. She spent most of her time with middle school students, yet she also taught in first and second grade as well. She has a passion for children and will be guiding them along their faith journeys. She will be discipling in our KidQuest and C.R.E.W programs as well as supporting families through life. Steph is married to her husband, Matt, and they have two awesome children, Owen and Hope. They enjoy spending time staying active outside, playing sports, hiking, biking, and walking their dog, Luna. Steph and her family are excited to see how God will continue to grow our families within New Life and our area communities.

Sarah Rose is excited and grateful to be part of the New Life Community Church family as the Finance and Administrative Clerk. She joined the team in September 2026, but she's been a member of the church since 2015. She has a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Lakeland University and enjoys being able to use her experience and skills in a way that supports the church and its ministry.
Before joining the church staff, Sarah was blessed to spend several years as a stay-at-home mom to her two children, Caden and Julia. She and her husband, Aaron, love spending time together as a family and making memories through camping, being outdoors, and simply enjoying time together. Sarah also loves to read and stay involved in her children's preschool and the local community.
Sarah is thankful for this opportunity to serve behind the scenes and looks forward to getting to know the people and families who make up the New Life community. She feels blessed to be part of a church where she can use her gifts while also growing in faith and serving others.

Holly Vogel is our communications director here at New Life. Holly has been apart of New Life Since 2023 and since has been a part of starting and leading the Young Adult Ministry (Y.A.M.) She is also a part of the prayer team. Outside of Church Holly enjoys hiking, hunting, writing, and spending time with family and friends. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve God and others through this position and looks forward to the growth that it will allow.

Nevin Weigert serves as the director of youth & young adult ministries at New Life. Previously, working in the world of construction management then taking a step of faith to ministry. Part of New Life for the last four years, Nevin found a passion for serving with our youth group (C.R.E.W.). Later being part of the team that started the young adult ministry (Y.A.M.) at New Life. Outside of New Life Nevin enjoys snowboarding, hikes that involve heights, family time & a rousing game of pickleball!

Emilie joined the New Life staff in April 2026 as Operations and Human Resources Director. Prior to working at New Life, Emilie spent many years serving as a Director of Special Education and Pupil Services in the public school system. Emilie and her husband, Josh, have been married since 2015. They have two awesome (and active!) boys, Thorin and Samson. As a family, the Dahms love working out, boating, and spending quality time with family and friends. Emilie is grateful for the opportunity to use the gifts God has given her to serve New Life and help further New Life’s mission in our community! 

Matt has been attending New Life since 2017.  He was nominated and voted as an elder of the church in 2020.  Matt enjoys being a part of New Life’s men’s ministry, and also helping within a variety of New Life teams including Greeting team, volunteering in KidQuest, online hosting, and filling in wherever there is a need.  
Matt is married to his wife, Stephanie, and they have two awesome children, Owen and Hope. They enjoy spending time staying active outside, playing sports (golf, pickle ball, basketball, etc…), hiking, biking, and walking their dog, Luna. Matt & his family are excited to see how God will continue to work within New Life and our area communities.

Sarah and her husband Dennis have a blended family of five adult children.  (We survived the teen years—you can too!). Dennis serves as a drummer on New Life’s Worship Team. Sarah works at the Plymouth Public Library while Dennis works in maintenance at the Sargento plant in Kiel. They enjoy hiking and “floating” in the summertime, snowshoeing in the winter, and taking random day trips anytime (“where does this road go?”).

Gail and her husband, Jude (JT), started attending New Life CC in 2022. She began her role as an elder in 2025. Gail is an active volunteer on the Welcome Team and helps with special events, as needed. She has a passion for supporting people through grief and loss and hopes to further develop the Bereavement ministry at New Life.
Gail and JT have two grown children, Roman (Jessica) and Emilie (Josh); and are blessed with four grandsons! Gail and JT enjoy all things nature, finding God’s glory in each of the four seasons. They like hiking, gardening, snowshoeing, boating, birdwatching and, most of all, peaceful “front porch nights” where they see amazing sunsets from their country home.

Daryl has been attending New Life since 2020. He was elected as an elder in December 2025.
Daryl has been married to his beautiful bride, Cherie, for 31 years. They have three adult children – Emma, Noah, and Noel.
Daryl enjoys participating on the hospitality team at the coffee bar and as a greeter. He is also blessed to serve alongside others as part of the New Life Kids leadership team.
Daryl enjoys reading, exercise of all types, and spending time with his wife and children.
Daryl is excited to see God’s future plans for New Life unfold.
