Sundays 8:30am | 10:30am

Either Or

Either Or

Thursday,  May 14th

Our daily “faith challenge” is an opportunity to go deeper into Sunday’s message. A time to meet with God. Begin with prayer. Ask God to speak to you from His Word, by His Spirit.
“Speak Lord your servant is listening” 1 Samuel 3:9

We have a dilemma and there are two facets to our dilemma

We have something we don’t want- a sin problem. Because of our sin we experience guilt, shame, pain, and separation from God.

2ndly-
We need something we don’t have- holiness, perfection. We need a level of goodness that makes us acceptable in God’s presence.

How have you tried to solve youe dilemma?
Try harder?
More religion?
Other?

God’s solution to our dilemma:
“God made him who had no sin to be sin (sin offering) for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

He paid the price and gave us His righteousness

God is Perfectly Just and Perfectly Loving

It was on the cross that God perfectly balanced both His boundless love and His infinite justice. For God, His love and His justice made the cross necessary

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” 1 John 4:9-10

Soak in the truth of these two verses.

What wells up in your heart?
Write it down
Turn it into a prayer/praise
